Wealth-X Partners With The Asian Women’s Leadership University Project.
Global Intelligence Company Assists the AWLU Project to Boost Major Giving from Ultra Wealthy
21 November 2011, Singapore – Wealth-X, the global intelligence, prospecting and wealth due diligence company, today announced that it is supporting the Asian Women’s Leadership University (AWLU) Project in the organization’s latest global fundraising efforts for 2011-2012 to establish a liberal arts, women’s university based in Asia.
The collaboration will enable the AWLU Project to better identify and connect with ultra high net worth (UHNW) individuals who share the same passion and ideals as the organization. By engaging the support of Wealth-X, the AWLU Project will be able to enhance global prospect research to boost fundraising for its programmes. UHNW individuals are defined as those with a net worth of at least US$30 million.
Wealth-X estimates there are 185,795 UHNW individuals around the world, with a combined net worth of US$25 trillion. In its first World Ultra Wealth Report released last week, Wealth-X highlighted opportunities within the ultra wealthy segment by region and country, as well as the different wealth tiers.
“We are delighted to share with the AWLU Project our expertise on the ultra wealthy segment globally. Wealth-X is dedicated to continuously contribute to the community-at-large as part of our corporate social responsibility program,’’ said Mykolas Rambus, CEO of Wealth-X.
“We’re so pleased to have the support of such a respected firm like Wealth-X,” said the AWLU Project president Barbara Hou. “We’re privileged to have the talents of Mykolas and his team behind us. We also value this relationship because the firm’s Singapore base and global reach reaffirms AWLU Project’s commitment to establishing an educational institution in partnership with other institutions that have a pulse on Asia.”

ABOUT THE ASIAN WOMEN’S LEADERSHIP UNIVERSITY PROJECT
The Asian Women’s Leadership University (AWLU) Project is a non-profit organization that is in the process of establishing a world-class, liberal arts, women’s university based in Asia. Our aim is to provide an extraordinary educational opportunity for women, especially from the Middle East, South Asia, Southeast Asia and East Asia. We believe that a liberal arts education, which focuses on cultivating critical thinking, creativity, leadership and entrepreneurship, can contribute to higher education transformation, regional development, innovation and women’s empowerment in Asia. Started in the Fall of 2010, and driven by the vision, passion and support of a group of global leaders in business, government and academia, the AWLU Project is advancing in its plans to establish its university campus in Malaysia. The university will feature the best liberal arts educational practices and a vibrant residential learning community in which promising women from diverse cultural and religious backgrounds can achieve their full intellectual and personal potential. The university will encourage and enable women to become effective professionals, inspiring leaders and service-oriented citizens. For more information, please visit www.awluproject.org.
